Construction costs are the costs associated with the general contractor and the building of the actual building. These include things like concrete, steel, finishes, millwork and casework, integral systems like HVAC, etc. Project costs include everything to do with the project. Some important things to remember that aren’t included in construction costs include furnishings, equipment, landscaping, moving costs, temporary space costs, costs associated with debt, insurance, and the like.
